<description>(Anniston, Alabama) Be a part of the experience as CAST (Community Actors’ Studio Theatre) celebrates the Holiday Season by bringing one of the country’s best loved film classics, IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE to life, onstage, at the McClellan Theatre, November 16 – 27, 2011.
Come shed a tear and have a laugh all over again as angel Clarence Odbody helps everyman George Bailey realize the impact of his life on the world around him.
IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE was adapted for the stage by playwright James W. Rodgers from the Frank Capra film and the story, The Greatest Gift by Philip Van Doren Stern. The tale of redemption, friendship and purpose is a delightful way to mark the start of the Holiday Season and will serve as delightful entertainment for the whole family.
The CAST production stars Jon Garlick (George Bailey), Chris Colvard, (Clarence Odbody) , Mike Stedham (Mr. Potter) and Jennie Wall, (Mary Bailey) in the roles immortalized by Jimmy Stewart, Henry Travers, Lionel Barrymore and Donna Reed on film. Howard Johnson, Jim Athon, AJ Long, Cynthia Cater, Hayley Long and Debby Mathews head a large cast of supporting players for the stage production. CAST Artistic Director Kimberley Dobbs is the director. The production is made possible through arrangement with Dramatic Publishing Service.
IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE will be performed at Anniston’s McClellan Theatre, Nov. 16, 18, 19, 25 and 26, beginning at 8:00 PM and Nov. 19, 20, 26 and 27, beginning at 2:30 PM. Tickets are $20.00 for adults, $10.00 for student with group rates available for parties of 12 or more. Due to the holiday season schedule there will be only one “Pay-What-You-Want-To” performance night for this show, on Wednesday, Nov. 16
